FOLLOW THE CONNECTIONS

A field guide to possibility.

Hot neighbors—including lava, molten metal, and burning fuel—can ignite combustible materials. Cooling and wet contact can extinguish fuel. These shared behaviors work alongside the recipes below; observed recipes are marked as you play.

MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME

A few useful controls.

Pick a material and draw. Heat or cool it, make a connection, then follow what changes. Experiments are starting points; the field guide is always open to you.

On touch screens, use Browse all for the full palette. Draw with one finger, select Pan to move the view, and use + / − to zoom. Select Inspect and tap to pin a sample. Temperature uses sandbox °C; charge is a level from 0 to 255.

Save your world as .bsand. This includes temperature, charge, and observed reactions. Earlier Sand / Bevy .bsand worlds can be opened too. Original .sand files use a different format and are not supported.
